After reading in the Cambridge evening news about the study of nanotechnology to be headed by Prof. Ann Dowling i was interested in helping in anyway that i could. i am quite interested in this being a new technology from a computational and electronic point of view. i have just finished at Hills Road Sixth Form College after studying computing, physics and electronics. one issue which came to mind was the ethical issue of security and the invation of privacy due to develoments in nanotechnology. i would also be interested in how the energy efficiency of nanotechnology in computers will improve as i think that for computers to progress in 'speed' they need to become more heat efficient at the moment heat dissapation in computers can become so much of an issue that water cooling is needed. i would be very interested to hear about developments of this study.
